Fertility Drugs and Insurance companies, I found a way to get my Clomid covered?

This isn’t a question, more like a tip for all of you ttc, like myself. I was prescribed Clomid this month, and I found out that even though my prescription plan (which is a different carrier than my health insurance provider) wont cover the drug b/c its for infertility, I live in NJ and NJ law says that all health insurance companies with policies for employers with 50+ employees (med to large) based in NJ, even if they arent your prescription plan company Must cover fertility drugs. Same as they cover insulin for diabetics (insulin is a drug but it’s covered by health insurance companies, not prescription plan companies) It does come out of pocket and after filing a claim you get reimbursed.
Just figured I’d share this info with all of you b/c I know it can get very expensive month after month. It’s certainly something to look into for the state you live in. But I know for certain NJ does it and my health insurance is Horizon blue cross blue sheild NJ. Good luck to all of you

How do you obtain health insurance, for someone who is already in the hospital?

Hello,

My friend is already in the hospital. He was in a car accident. He does not have insurance, but I am trying to provide some kind of coverage for him. Most health insurance companies will not cover someone who is already in the hospital. And he does not qualify for Medi-Cal. So are there any other options available out there, so that he can get the surgery he needs?

Are companies that are in business for a profit the best means for health care?

Do Health insurance companies raise premiums based on how many claims you file or doctor visits you make?
Is a health insurance company aloud to raise your premiums based on how many times you visit a doctor or how many times you file claims with them and make them pay benefits? Or like if your diagnosed with a serious condition? Or are they only aloud to raise premiums based on your age?

How do you find affordable health insurance?

I have a friend of mine who lives in Florida. He had open heart surgery a few years ago. After the surgery was done, the Dr walked in the room and told my friend he really never needed the surgery to begin with. He is trying to find health insurance and he is having trouble finding it because of his heart condition even though now he doesn’t have one. Most of the health insurance companies want more then $1500 a month to insure him. How does he find affordable insurance in the US?
